This trip was unexpected, we didn't plan to go here at all. I guess we just woke up and realize we want to go here. Its actually my BF's cousin who convinced us because at that time we don't have the budget. Since we really want to have a vacation we decided to use our savings. Yes, after this vacation we were broke. But no regret! we enjoyed ourselves anyway and the trip was truly memorable and part of that memory is our journey towards this Paradise.
Our departure time from Manila Domestic Airport was 11:40AM but since were early and the flight before us has vacant seats the ticketing officer offered an early flight, of course we accepted the offer! We left at 9:10Am instead and reached Caticlan Airport at around 10:00Am. After resting for a while and waiting for our baggage we started to walk over the tricycle station, its on the right side of the airport. You have to ride a tricycle to get to the port, the fare is around php50.
After 10 minutes of rough ride we reached the port. The fare is php150 per head plus php20 port fee. We departed at around 11:45 Am. The Boat was small the capacity is up to 20 to 25 persons only. At that time the ocean was calm so it wasn't that scary for me. It wasn't new but is was clean. We were enjoying our trip because we were 12 on this trip, we make jokes even though the trip was quite tiring. It took around 45 minutes to reach the Boracay Island.
Upon reaching Boracay island a staff from our resort is already waiting for us. He bought the resort's Multicab to pick us up. If there's no one who will pick you up you can ride a tricycle depending on how far your resort from the port but more likely the fare will be php100. The thing about our ride is, it doesn't have a roof, in short we had our sun bathing session even before we reach the beach. But hey, It was part of our memorable vacation. After 20 minutes we reached the resort. We have to walk a few meters because the road was small. Finally after almost 5 hours of journey we manage to reach the Boracay. :)
